In May, House Democrats passed the HEROES Act, a desperately needed bill to provide relief for frontline workers, urgent rental assistance for families facing eviction, increased food assistance, funds to support schools and child care centers, support for the Post Office and state election operations -- and much more. For four long months now, with tens of millions of Americans out of work and COVID-19 continuing to spread, Senate Republicans have refused to even allow a vote on the HEROES Act.

For four long months now, with tens of millions of Americans out of work and COVID-19 continuing to spread, Senate Republicans have refused to even allow a vote on the HEROES Act.

Now, in an attempt to avoid being held responsible by voters for their abject failure, Mitch McConnell has rolled out a so-called "skinny" Senate bill that provides only a trickle of help to some and fails to meet the vital needs of most. To add insult to injury, it includes poison pills that shortchange schools that have not returned to 100% in-classroom learning and provides tax breaks to subsidize support for private schools.

Add your name here to join me in calling-out McConnells skinny bill for what it is -- a politically motivated stunt to shift responsibility away from Republicans failure to act ([link removed]) -- ([link removed]) not a real proposal to help struggling Americans in the midst of this historic crisis. The truth is that Mitch McConnell is feeling the heat. Republican Senators up for re-election in November in states like Colorado, Arizona, Maine, and elsewhere are suffering politically for their partys failed COVID-19 record and they are pressing Mitch to help them out -- even if it is a thinly veiled political stunt.

This GOP maneuver is just the latest attempt to put up a smokescreen in the hope that voters will be distracted from the TRUTH -- in this case, that Republicans are perfectly willing to let American families suffer through this crisis without further help.

Sign here to stand against McConnell's political stunt and to call for meaningful action to help struggling Americans. ([link removed])
