John,
Are you up for a challenge?
[link removed]
You've already done so much to help build parks and protect
public land - you've been a supporter since 2019, and you've responded whenever we've asked you to take a stand.
But you can do even more.

If you believe that public lands should be preserved for future
generations ... if you believe that national monuments should not
be sold off for exploitation and reckless development ... if you
believe that all Americans deserve the health benefits a close-to-home
park or other green space provides ... if you understand that
climate change is real and happening now, and you believe we need to
deal with its devastating effects ...
... then you should join the fight and become a member of The
Trust for Public Land.

We are the leaders in preserving places that tell the American
story. For more than 45 years, we've been on the front lines of
land conservation. We've forged powerful partnerships to protect
treasures both national and local.
And everything we've done has been thanks to our members.
Simply put, they make our work possible.

Our membership is a diverse coalition of nature lovers, outdoors
enthusiasts, environmentalists, activists, and problem solvers.
Frankly, I think you'd fit right in.
What's more, we need your help, and we need it now. We
have a lot of vital projects in progress - here's just one example:

We recently worked out a deal with the old mining town of
Trinidad, Colorado: The Trust for Public Land, in partnership with The
Nature Conservancy, would raise the money to buy 19,000 acres just
south of town to protect important wildlife habitat and make the
property publicly accessible for outdoor recreation.
However, we took out $20 million in bridge loans to buy the
property. Now we have to raise the money to pay off those loans. If we
don't, we'll be forced to sell the property to a private
buyer. The land will remain closed to the public and it would be
vulnerable to reckless development. The fate of this project is
hanging in the balance right now. If we can't raise the funds we
need to seal the deal soon, the whole thing will collapse.
Please don't let this happen. Show your support to help save
Fisher's Peak and for all the parks and other public lands
across the country. Become a member of The Trust for Public Land, and
show that you care about protecting our nation's open spaces.
