I’m an engineer. One thing I learned early on is that a crack in drywall is cosmetic, but a crack in the foundation means the building is coming down.
Donald Trump built his administration — and the entire MAGA movement — on a foundation of lies. Now the cracks are showing.
Trump's approval, September 2026:
* Quinnipiac: 32% approval
* UMass Amherst: 32%
* Reuters: 33%
* CNN: 34%
And get this: his approval among Republicans has fallen from 89% to 75%. His own people are turning on him.
And why wouldn't they?
He promised to bring prices down on day one.
Families paid an estimated $2,120 more last year due to the inflation he claimed he'd "defeated."
He promised to end the Ukraine conflict in 24 hours.
It's dragged on for another 500 days.
He promised to release the Epstein files.
He fought desperately in court and pressured members of Congress to keep them sealed.
He promised farmers he would win his trade war.
He’s trying to import cheaper beef from abroad, undercutting American producers.
Trump built his house of cards on lies because lies are cheap and fast. A good foundation is neither.
The next two years could be our chance to rebuild…or we could spend another two years letting the cracks grow. That depends on whether we take back the House this November. And that can only happen if we defend IL-06 with everything we’ve got. Will you help me keep this seat blue and give us a shot at rebuilding? [[link removed]]
