Dear MoveOn member,
It’s no secret that major voter suppression efforts are underway to sow chaos and distrust in our elections, strip away our voting rights, and make it harder for people to vote.
And that’s why we have big news to share:
No Kings: Vote Early. On October 17, communities nationwide will come together to promote voting early as a key strategy to overcome attempts to rig our elections. MoveOn members like you will be uniting to protect our vote through block parties, rallies, walks to the polls, and everything in between. Neighbors will help neighbors get to the polls, create plans to vote, and get involved to ensure the will of the people is upheld.
Ready to learn more? Sign up for the No Kings: Vote Early Kickoff Call on Thursday, September 10, so we can organize together to get more people voting early and protect our elections!
On Thursday’s call, we’ll hear more about:
Why voting early matters as a key strategy to protect your vote
How No Kings is organizing communities around early voting and election protection
Actions you can take right now to protect the vote
In the face of attempts to interfere with casting our ballots, voting early means making our voices heard on our own terms: before Election Day, before any last-minute chaos, before anyone else decides what happens next.
There are some leaders who act like wannabe kings and want us to feel defeated–like our vote doesn’t count and we don’t matter. They want us to give up and believe that their attempts to suppress our vote have won. But that’s far from the truth.
Under the No Kings banner, we’ve seen the largest days of action in American history. Millions took part, including hundreds of thousands of MoveOn members like you. Now, by moving people toward early voting, No Kings can be the movement that not only brings people into the street to defend democracy, but also brings people to the polls to actively shape our future and protect our vote.
Together, once again, we’ll make clear that we choose our leaders. RSVP for the No Kings: Vote Early Kickoff Call now to be a part of the No Kings movement to protect our election and ensure your voice is heard!
Thanks for all you do.
–Adrienne, Kelsey, Liz, Saskia and the rest of the team
P.S.: No Kings events are nonpartisan and are designed to increase participation from all eligible voters.
A core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action and no civil disobedience. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.
Want to support MoveOn's work? Donald Trump’s authoritarian takeover intensifies every day—but history shows that authoritarian regimes crumble when just 3.5% of people rise up together in sustained resistance. That’s why MoveOn is helping mobilize millions, from massive No Kings protests to our nonstop work to get ICE out of our neighborhoods. This moment demands mass, disciplined, people-powered resistance, and MoveOn can reach, train, and organize at a scale unmatched in the progressive movement. Will you chip in to fuel this urgent and critical organizing?
