John,
This weekend, Operation Liberty returned to Delaney Hall in Newark, New Jersey, the privately run ICE detention center where, in a matter of weeks, three men have died.
We went for a protest. And we went for a vigil, because those three men deserve to be more than a line in ICE's records. These were men whose deaths a member of Congress had to uncover during a surprise oversight visit, because the government had no intention of telling anyone.

ICE has not slowed down. It has gotten worse. More arrests. More deportations. And more deaths — 2026 is already the deadliest year for people in ICE custody in decades. I wish I could tell you these were mistakes, but this is what ICE has been built to inflict on our country.
The hard truth is that winning the election in November, as much as it matters, will not flip a switch and stop this. ICE's money is already locked in.
The last two years handed it the largest immigration-enforcement budget in American history — roughly eleven times its old annual budget — with tens of billions more flowing in 2027 and for years after that. A new Congress can begin to turn off the tap, but it cannot do it overnight. Which means the machine at Delaney Hall, and in cities across the country, keeps running no matter what happens at the ballot box.
That is exactly why Operation Liberty cannot stop and has to grow.
We were at Delaney Hall this weekend. We intend to be wherever we're needed next — but only if we're funded to get there. Will you chip in $25 or more to help us keep Operation Liberty funded through 2026 and into 2027?

Three men died at Delaney Hall, and the country was never supposed to notice. We noticed and we showed up. Help us keep holding ICE accountable everywhere it operates, for as long as this takes.
With determination,
