CHECK YOUR SPAM FOLDER!

Over the last few weeks, the Council has had some serious email issues due to user mailboxes getting compromised. This is a problem that has a big impact. The compromised phished mailboxes send millions of spam messages a day, which clogs up our email system and leads to the Council getting put on β€œblocklists” for sending spam.

Gmail account holders are the most impacted. Messages to Gmail users from the Council are winding up in the Gmail users spam folders, and some messages may get delayed or rejected. The Council is working with OCTO and Gmail to get off the β€œblocklists” so that our mail goes through without issue.

If you are expected a response from our office, please check your spam and/or contact our office.

We apologize for the inconvenience.

Dear Ward 8 Residents,

The Council is back from recess. Our office used the break to prepare for the upcoming legislative period. As we come back to the dias, I am excited to share the new and meaningful legislation we have worked on that intends to support residents in Ward 8 and around our city.

We are experiencing a unique time in history that requires us all to pivot. Traditionally, our office would be planning our annual State of the Ward Summit. However, we are still working on a method to conduct this session virtually that would allow us to break into small groups to obtain feedback in our key focus areas.

Once finalized, we will share the details of this event. Until then, continue to stay safe and healthy.

Regards,

Trayon White, Sr.
Councilmember, Ward 8
