Long before I ever walked into the world of politics, I was pouring my energy into the Wynkoop, Colorado's first brewpub. Our flagship brews were Timberline Pale Ale and Sagebrush Stout (with just the faintest hint of a prairie bouquet). We sold them for just $2.25 a pint — 50 cents less than a pint of an import.
Wynkoop was more than just a business venture for me. It was about creating a gathering place for people of all backgrounds and opinions. I truly believed there wasn't a single problem that couldn't be sorted out over a pint of fresh beer. I didn’t run for office for fame, money, or power. I ran partly because I didn’t want to have a boss. But the main reason: I wanted to bring people together to solve problems. And that’s exactly what we’ve done. I ran for the Senate on that same idea — to get things done. We’ve invested billions to confront the climate crisis, lowered prescription drug costs, and made investments to rebuild our infrastructure. We’ve brought thousands of good-paying manufacturing jobs back to America, and worked to make housing more affordable. And we’re not done yet. But look, National Republicans are throwing everything they’ve got at us. They’re determined to flip this seat back to red and roll back the progress we’ve worked so hard for. We’re going to need all the help we can get to keep Colorado blue and keep serving folks like you.
