I wanted to share with you a little bit about what public service means to my family and me.

I’m the son of retired Judge Dorothy Colom — the first African-American to be elected to her region’s Chancery Court — and Wilbur Colom, an attorney and one-time Republican who worked for Ronald Reagan.

Growing up, I saw firsthand what it means to dedicate your life to serving others. It’s not about party politics; it’s about putting others first. That’s something I’ve carried with me throughout my career as a prosecutor and District Attorney — and it’s what I’ll bring to the U.S. Senate.

We’re seeing firsthand what happens when leaders head to D.C., listen to their special interest supporters, and work in lockstep with what party leaders want. It’s wrong and it’s a disservice to Mississippians.

I’m running to put you first. To make sure that the concerns you’ve shared with me are actually heard, not left at the door when voting on legislation that hurts our communities. Because that’s what public service is all about.

So, I’m humbly asking you to donate to my campaign so we can come together and bring a new era of leadership to D.C. defined by fighting for working folks, rather than fighting for party politics and special interests.
