Hi John -- we just got some great news. Check it out:
"A federal court has ruled in favor of stronger disclosure requirements [for dark money groups] just in time for the November 2020 elections."
- Brennan Center for Justice
John, that means dark money groups will now be forced to follow stricter rules that require them to disclose the identities of their biggest donors.
Considering how rampant dark money spending has been in the 2020 election, this is a win for campaign finance reform -- something Jared has championed during his time in Congress.
But we can’t get too comfortable, John -- this year alone, more than $116 million in campaign spending and contributions is connected to dark money sources. And we know that here in ME-02, Jared has been a primary target of many of these groups.
So while this news is great, we need to keep up the fight -- because even with these new disclosure requirements, dark money groups will continue to spend big against Jared in this race. Can you help us keep up the fight with a donation of any amount?
