Immigration continues to be at the center of the national discourse, but
Christians in this country still have little guidance from their church on how
their faith impacts their public participation on this topic. A 2015 LifeWay poll found that while 68 percent of evangelical Christians said they would appreciate hearing a sermon on biblical principles and immigration, only 2 percent said they saw their local church as a primary influence on their immigration beliefs. *

At Sojourners, we want to build a resource hub with theological resources to help pastors and lay leaders guide their congregations. We would love to include your sermon!

* Have you preached on immigration from a dignifying perspective?
* Is your view on immigration informed by the reality that every person bears
the image of God, regardless of their immigration status?
* Do you believe our current immigration system fails to address the present
needs of immigrant families?
* Have you condemned cruel practices that violate human dignity and serve
racist and xenophobic agendas?

Submit your sermon on immigration for the 100 Immigration Sermons project here

We hope that as you read and think about the stories of immigrants in this
country or your own immigration experiences, documented and undocumented, you will find scripture to be a rich field from which to harvest theological food , to end the moral starvation of our immigration policy.

In faith,

Sandy Ovalle and Paola Fuentes Gleghorn
