This false information and illegal advice from the president is completely unacceptable — and extremely dangerous to the public.

Maggie Toulouse Oliver, NM Secretary of State

Y'all, I am outraged. Last week, at his rally in North Carolina, Donald Trump suggested that people "test the system" by trying to vote twice.

The President of the United States just encouraged Americans to commit a felony — one that seeks to undermine our electoral process and make a joke out of our entire democracy.

His irresponsible statements were maliciously intended to further his baseless claims that voting by mail carries a risk of fraud. Let me say it again, louder for him so it gets through his head: There is absolutely NO evidence supporting this argument.

And right now with the pandemic, it's more important than ever that voters feel confident in our electoral process and are given accurate facts so that they know they can cast their ballots safely and securely by mail.

The false information and illegal advice being spread by the president is completely unacceptable — it's driven completely by his selfish agenda to wreak havoc over our general election so that he can suppress our votes and find an excuse to dispute the results when he loses.

These lies are extremely dangerous, and I'm doing everything that I can to ensure that New Mexican voters know their rights and their options and are fully aware of the misinformation and voter suppression that Donald Trump continues to launch to the public.

There isn't much time left before the general election, so I need your help reaching every voter in our state and educating them on voter safety and clean elections that are being threatened by Donald Trump.

Help me fight back and protect our democracy by pitching in right now so that I can continue countering Trump's harmful misinformation >>
