[1]Greg Casar for Congress

Happy Labor Day, friend

Today, we celebrate the achievements the labor movement has won for working people across this country.

The 40-hour work week. Safer job sites. Fairer pay. These weren’t gifts from corporations or politicians. They were won because working people came together, organized, and fought for a better deal.

I know that fight firsthand.

Unlike many members of Congress, I didn’t start my career in a courtroom or the corporate C-suite. I started in Austin, as a labor organizer on construction sites, organizing alongside workers to win a raise, a union, and something as basic as the right to take a water break.

I learned a lot on those construction sites. Most importantly, I learned that when you’re taking on big corporations and corrupt politicians, you don’t roll over. You stand up and fight back.

That’s what the labor movement is about. And it’s why I’ll always stand with workers who are organizing.

Today, Donald Trump and Republicans in Congress are trying to tear apart the legacy that generations of workers fought to build. They’re putting the interests of corporations and billionaires ahead of working people and attacking the power of workers to organize.

But we know how to fight back.

Working people have been organizing and standing up to powerful interests for generations. And that fight continues today.

Today and every day, we stand with all American workers. And our fight continues.

In solidarity,
Greg

Congressman Greg Casar is the chair of the Congressional Progressive Caucus and is leading the fight to defend healthcare, tax the rich, and to build a new Democratic Party — one that is pro-worker and fights for us.

But after Trump and Greg Abbott’s racist gerrymandered maps were approved, he’s running in a new Congressional district and needs your support to continue his fight and help support progressives across the country.

If you believe in Greg’s pro-worker movement, chip in now to help keep him in Congress, fund his fight to flip the House blue, and build a better Democratic Party.
