John, Happy Labor Day!
Today we’re honoring the workers who keep our communities and country strong.
The nurses pulling double shifts. The teachers who buy their own classroom supplies. The line cooks, delivery drivers, and home health aides — the brothers and sisters we stand shoulder-to-shoulder with in our fight for justice.
We're where we are because of decades of organizing and hard-fought labor battles — workers pushing for fair hours, safe conditions, and dignity on the job. That fight is what won the eight-hour day, weekends, and workplace protections. None of it was simply handed down.
And now, those rights are under attack.
Trump and his lackeys will do anything to protect their interests — gutting workplace protections, trying to squash union rights, and handing corporations and billionaires another payday, all while people are told to do more with less. Corporate greed and economic inequality are choices. And working people are the ones paying for them.
We believe in something different. We believe every worker deserves: dignity on the job, a living wage, workplace protections over corporate loopholes, and the right to organize and bargain collectively.
Our Squad — Alexandria, Ayanna, Ilhan, and Rashida — is in Congress standing with workers, calling out corporate greed, and taking on this administration every time they try to undermine our rights.
