Happy Labor Day, Friend!

Labor Day is a time to celebrate the workers who keep our communities running – from the people who care for our loved ones to those who build our homes, grow our food, and everything in between.

It’s also about making sure every worker can do their job safely and with full protection of their rights – regardless of where they were born or their immigration status.

At NILC, we work every day to protect immigrant workers from abuse, exploitation, and discrimination. Here’s how:

We file lawsuits to seek justice for workers whose rights have been violated and hold employers accountable.

We advocate for inclusive laws and policies that make workplaces safer for everyone.

We create Know Your Rights resources and provide training to ensure that immigrant workers have the information and tools to advocate for themselves.

Because knowing your rights is one of the most powerful tools workers and employers have, we’re re-sharing two resources this Labor Day that can help people navigate some of the challenges immigrant workers face:
