Hello John,

This Labor Day, we’re honoring the holiday by uplifting the leaders who make our movement a winning movement.

Worker leaders like:

  • Juli Prill, a second-generation painter who uses her voice to inspire other workers to claim their space in a union;

  • Mama Cookie, a co-founder of Union of Southern Service Workers (USSW) who’s fighting for dignity, safety, and thriving wages for generations of Southern workers;

  • Patrick Watkins, who believes solidarity is critical to delivering material wins for working people and the source of our collective power;

  • Renee Berry, a UAW Local 42 member with a fighting spirit that never says no;

  • And Marcus King, who understood that his coworkers deserved democracy on the shop floor.

Support worker leaders this Labor Day!

Watch these leaders' stories.

At Jobs with Justice, we believe it’s critical that we not only choose the leaders who guide us in pivotal moments, but also provide the strategic support, training, and continuing development those leaders need. The battle for democracy begins on the shop floor, and we won’t win that battle without worker leaders who are sustained and cultivated in their leadership.

That’s why this Labor Day, we’re asking you to contribute to working people on the frontlines. A donation of any amount continues to fuel our collective fight for democracy, help fund nationwide leadership development trainings with our Jobs with Justice network of coalitions, and ensure Black and Southern worker organizers receive in-the-field experience alongside union partners.

Now, more than ever, your support is critical.

In solidarity & gratitude,

Erica Smiley
