The program will open with Anna Nissinen, Arlington’s newly appointed Chief Economic Development Officer and Director of Arlington Economic Development. Anna will provide an overview of her vision and priorities for Arlington, including how the County can strengthen its competitiveness, attract and retain businesses and talent, support the evolving commercial market, and position Arlington for long-term growth. This will be one of the business community’s first opportunities to hear directly from Anna in her new role. The program will then feature a conversation with the newly appointed CEO of National Innovation Quarter, who will share a fresh perspective on the organization’s vision and priorities and the role it can play in Arlington’s emerging innovation ecosystem. The panel will also feature David Baker, Associate Vice President and Chief of Staff at Virginia Tech; Sean Ferguson, Go-to-Market at Nooks; and Tracy Sayegh Gabriel, President and CEO of National Landing BID. Together, they will discuss the partnerships and investments shaping one of the region’s emerging innovation ecosystems and highlight the work of National Innovation Quarter and its founding organizations.
