We can’t stress this enough: this election is about more than beating Trump -- we’re in a fight for our democracy. Before he was elected, we were told that our institutions were designed to protect us against his empty threats. But, here we are four years later, and it’s hard to keep track of all the harm Trump and his Senate enablers have inflicted on us. 

We’re working hard to reach voters all over the country, in big cities and in rural towns, to empower people to vote like their future depends on it -- because it does. This is the election of our lifetimes, so we want to keep you in the loop about all the work we’re doing to win. Here are a few actions you can take to make an impact before election day:

• Sign up to phonebank with Windivisible. Talking to voters directly is the best way to educate and engage them about what their vote means for the future of our democracy.
• After you sign up to make calls, attend one of our phonebanking training webinars. Here are a few we have coming up:
• Thursday, September 10, at 8pm Eastern / 5pm Pacific Time
• Tuesday, September 15, at 8pm Eastern / 5pm Pacific Time
• Wednesday, September 16, at 3pm Eastern / 12pm Pacific Time
• Join activists, volunteers, and group leaders for our Windivisible GOTV Bootcamp on October 3. GOTV stands for “Get Out the Vote” and this half-day training is designed to help you get involved in the most critical period before Election Day!

We need to reach voters because we can’t afford another four years of Trump’s unchecked power. It’s a lot to tackle, so we’re starting by taking down his administration and all of his impeachment saviors in the Senate. We don’t have to remind you of how Trump and the Senate have grossly mismanaged the pandemic and targeted peaceful protests against police violence -- those are the highlights from just this year.

Don’t forget, in the last four years, there was also his attempt to gut the Affordable Care Act, his ban on travel from Muslim-majority countries, the separation and detention of migrant families in cages at the border, and America’s withdrawal from the Paris Climate Agreement, to name a few. These are some of the issues that charged our voter outreach program when we took back the House in 2018, and we’re ready to make history again. We can’t erase the pain and horror of Trump’s first term, but we can do everything possible to make it his last.
