Hello, True Texans!
I absolutely love it when people come to me not just with great ideas, but also with a willingness to make them happen! That was the case this week when Tony Bieniosek suggested we educate folks on just how bad the Democrat platform is. Have you ever really read it??? Well, Tony did, and he shared some highlights with us:
2026 Texas Democrat Party Convention
Platform Key Points
Pg 32 – Universal vote by mail. No voter registrar deputization requirements. Expand extended and early voting periods Pg 33 – Repeal photo voter ID law. Promote rank-choice voting. Abolish the Electoral College. Abolish the filibuster. Rebalance the Supreme Court Pg 41 – Eliminate cash bail and pretrial detention. Decriminalize pan handling. Eliminate mandatory minimum sentences P 43 – Legalize possession and use of cannabis and its derivatives. Immediately release individuals incarcerated solely for possession of cannabis with automatic expungement of criminal records P 49 – Expand access to gender-affirming healthcare. Ability to participate fully in public life consistent with gender identity.
P 49 – Right to choose. Repeal criminalizing abortion care decisions. Require ongoing training in cultural diversity.
Pg 55 – Guarantee labor protections to undocumented migrants. Remove or re-evaluate 5 year waiting period for immigrants seeking federal support

Everyone wants to know if Talarico is going to beat Ken Paxton for US Senate from TX. The latest polls show Talarico half a point ahead, but keep in mind that pretty much maxes out the Democrat turnout; whereas the Republican numbers have a lot of room to grow if we can just get out the vote. We can't let anyone sit this one out! This is why our TTP@theGOP events are so crucial. Make sure to get involved and do as much as you can to pick up the slack for those who won't do anything. It's so annoying, but what choice do we have??? The events scheduled for this week are below. You can also go to our online calendar to see all of them for the next six weeks.

Flesh-Eating Screwworm
For those of you who had the privilege to hear Sheriff Roy Boyd speak at our February and/or August conferences, or on last month's podcast, I know you now appreciate him as much as I do.
