Herbert, it’s Charles Booker.

I just sat down with Rev. Al Sharpton to talk about the man I’m running against.

During his primary, my opponent Andy Barr ran an ad saying that it’s “not a sin to be white” – echoing a common white supremacist slogan.

My opponent relies on incendiary language because he has nothing to offer to the people of Kentucky.

This message is designed to divide us — to get us to point the finger at one another instead of looking up at the people in power who are actually responsible for the rising cost of living and uncertainty that plagues us every day.

Andy Barr has been in Congress since 2012.

He’s had fourteen years to lower the cost of healthcare, the cost of child care, the cost of a roof over your head.

Instead, he’s running ads to fuel hate and fear. Andy would rather you be afraid of your neighbor than ask him what he’s done for Kentuckians in Congress.

That’s because Andy Barr takes campaign cash from dark money groups and Big Tech super PACs— in exchange for his support in Washington.

I’m sick and tired of the playbook that uses culture wars and division to distract us from the corruption, special interests, and bloodthirst for wealth and power that has left ordinary Americans in the dust.

Mitch McConnell was elected when I was just two weeks old, and he’s spent the past 41 years doing just that.

Andy Barr is on a mission to maintain this exact status quo that’s gotten us into endless wars, skyrocketed the cost of living crisis, put profit before people, and enabled an out‑of‑control president.

That’s where I come in. I’m running for Senate to bring Kentucky together and deliver a true affordability agenda when I win. So I’m asking you directly: will you split a donation of $25 — or whatever you can spare — between our campaign and Elect Southern Democrats today, so we finally raise the bar and deliver Kentuckians the leadership they deserve? Charles Booker

Herbert, thank you for supporting our mission here at Elect Southern Democrats! With your help, we were able to turn out tens of thousands of Democrats in the 2024 election, helping flip Southern seats from red to blue.

Now, we’re mobilizing to boost more Democrats across the South to victory – who will advance inclusive policies that address racial justice, social equity, and economic opportunity, and help take back our majorities.

We believe in a simple principle: When Democrats vote, Democrats win. That’s why we’re fighting back against Trump’s MAGA extremists by turning out tens of thousands of Democrats across the South in states like Florida, Georgia, and Texas.
