Hi, Everyone!
Don't forget to join us TODAY for our Wednesday phone bank! This week we have something special going on--we'll be phone banking in partnership with the Human Rights Campaign (HRC), who have endorsed both Jonathan Kassa and Deb Ciamacca!
We'll be phone banking from 6:30 to 8. If you haven't phone banked before, don't worry--experienced phone bankers will be there to help train you. We can't canvass this year due to Covid-19, so phone banking is our direct line to voters, and the best way to reach them.
HRC Pennsylvania State Director Ryan Matthews said: “Right now, over 400,000 LGBTQ Pennsylvanians live in a patchwork of protections. Driving from Philadelphia to Erie, an LGBTQ person would have different rights in every town, city or county they drove through because Pennsylvania is the only state in the northeast without explicit statewide nondiscrimination protections for LGBTQ people. That must change, and while the Bostock ruling has provided some workplace protections, LGBTQ people still are at risk of discrimination in housing, education, public accommodations or businesses. It’s time we elect a pro-equality General Assembly to join Governor Wolf in passing real reform to improve the lives of LGBTQ Pennsylvanians.”
Sister District and the HRC are working hard in Pennsylvania, and we need all hands on deck to turn it blue and have equal rights for all. We hope you'll join us!
