John, in just a minute, I am going to ask you to do something critically important for our Biden-Harris campaign: I'm asking you to split your very first $10 contribution between our campaign and the DNC. Before I do that, I hope you'll let me share something personal I've been carrying with me through these final, crucial weeks of this race.

My mother always used to say, “Don’t just sit around and complain about things. Do something.” Her words have guided me through my entire life, pushing me to take action, solve problems, and fight for solutions. So when Joe Biden called me to ask that I join this campaign, it wasn't a hard decision. I knew I had to do exactly what my mother would have wanted me to do. With so much on the line, I had to do something.

I couldn't be more grateful to be a part of this ticket, or more humbled by the outpouring of support Joe and I have received over these past few weeks on the trail. And honestly, we're going to need every ounce of it. Voters in some of our most crucial battleground states have begun casting their ballots. That's why I'm urging you to step off the sidelines, chip in, and own a piece of this race while there's still time to make a meaningful difference in who leads our nation for the next four years.

Please split a $10 donation between our Biden-Harris campaign and the DNC. Any amount you can spare will make a big impact on the number of votes we can fight for in races across the country in these final few weeks.

Donald Trump, Mike Pence, and their GOP allies have turned their backs on working families in the midst of the multiple crises we are facing. I know Joe Biden, John, and I know he is the kind of leader who empathizes with those who are struggling. He knows that a job is about more than just a paycheck -- it's about dignity. And he knows that a commander-in-chief ought to lead as if their own child were serving in uniform.
