I've stood in solidarity with farm workers and advocated for those fleeing poverty and violence. I've worked to protect our environment, and I've been arrested dozens of times for civil disobedience. Through all these experiences, I've learned that you have to keep up the fight. You can't give up.

So much has already happened since Trump's return to office. The Trump administration dismantled the Department of Education, endangered Social Security and Medicare, targeted immigrants, slashed aid to the most vulnerable Americans and others around the world, fired thousands of hardworking federal employees, shamelessly attacked the very guardrails of our democracy, gutted the Environmental Protection Agency…

I could go on and on, but the point is this: Any one of these actions would be devastating. Together, they're disastrous.

As an activist, it's my responsibility not just to take note, but to take action. That's why I'm reaching out to you here and now, John ‑‑ when we all stand for what we believe in, our voices together are louder than any one of us alone.
