Back in February, I demanded answers from USPS about what this administration was doing to mail ballots ahead of the midterms.
In April, I told the Postmaster General to reject Trump's executive order outright.
In July, I got 169 of my colleagues to join me in that call.
This week, a federal whistleblower confirmed exactly what I've been warning about — a rushed, chaotic ballot-verification system that could leave millions of Americans without a working ballot this November. In their words: "secretive, rushed, chaotic, and fundamentally flawed."

I've spent my career being the guy in the room who says the thing everyone else is too polite to say. I said it about Trump's mail-vote order back in April. I'll say it again now: this was never about "election integrity." It's about deciding, in advance, who gets to vote and who doesn't — and betting that Americans won't notice until their ballot doesn't show up.
I am not about to watch this administration quietly take a vote away from a senior in Ohio, a veteran in Nevada, or a mom working two jobs in Long Beach who mails her ballot in because she can't take a day off to stand in line.
We all knew these guys were trying to gut our democracy, but now we have a whistleblower to prove it — and now it's in writing, filed with a U.S. Senator, impossible to spin away.
We already forced USPS onto the defensive once this year. We're about to do it again, louder, with less patience, and with an election just two months out.
