We are nine weeks from Election Day. And Republicans are going to throw everything they have at us — distractions, attacks, misinformation — and hope that we get overwhelmed and shut down.

It's a strategy. And it works — if we let it.

I've been in Congress long enough to know that the moments when it feels hardest to fight are exactly the moments when fighting matters most. When the noise is loudest, when the stakes feel impossibly high, when it would be so easy to freeze.

We cannot freeze.

This year alone, the Supreme Court gutted the Voting Rights Act. Trump's "Big Beautiful Bill" stripped Medicaid from 10 million Americans, cutting SNAP, gutting school funding. RFK Jr. dismantled the public health infrastructure that keeps our communities safe. Meanwhile, my opponent, Jim Marter, is waiting in the wings, ready to make every single one of those cuts permanent.

Our democracy, the health care families depend on, the schools our kids attend, and the rights we've fought for are on the line. And the only way we protect them is by staying in the fight, even when it's hard.

This is also the last FEC reporting deadline before Election Day. What we raise by September 30th goes on the public record and signals to everyone watching whether this community is ready to finish the job.
