I know what this grassroots team can do when we come together

I’m no stranger to being underestimated.
I raised my child as a single mom, working multiple jobs, stretching every dollar, and relying on SNAP and WIC to make sure my family had what we needed.
People could have counted me out. I didn’t let them. And I won’t let them now: Please,  will you split $25 between Fight for Progress PAC and my campaign to help us win this November?
 
I come from generations of resilient and fierce Pueblo women.
My mother was born and raised in a train boxcar, proudly served in the U.S. Navy, raised four children as a military wife, and devoted more than two decades to Indian education. She taught me that no matter how hard things get, you get back up and keep going.
That’s exactly what I did.
When I decided to run for office, I knew I had an uphill fight. But I had a grassroots team that believed in what we could accomplish together — and together, we won and made history. I became one of the first Native American women elected to Congress and later the first Native American Cabinet Secretary in our nation’s history.
Now, I’m running for governor — and once again, people are counting us out.
Our newest poll shows us trailing by 6 points. And MAGA donors have already poured hundreds of thousands of dollars into this race. They’re going to look at that poll and think they can spend their way to victory, flip New Mexico red, and bring Donald Trump’s extreme agenda to our state.
But I’ve faced long odds before. I know what this grassroots team can do when we come together, and I’m not backing down from this fight. But Fight for Progress PAC and I need people like you standing in our corner. Every dollar matters, and every person who steps up brings us one step closer to winning this race.
