Friends, This week officially kicked off the general election campaign! Thank you all for your incredible support over the last seven months. I am so proud of the team and coalition the campaign has built, and we have real momentum as we pivot toward the general election. On Primary Election Day, I started the morning voting with my family in Essex before making stops around the district, including in Gloucester, Beverly, and Lynn, to speak with voters and supporters. Tuesday night, the campaign held its Primary Election Night watch party at Culpepper’s in North Andover. We had a fantastic turnout! Many thanks to everyone who joined us, and to Jimmy and his team for the excellent service and hospitality throughout the evening. Wednesday marked the official start of the general election. Congratulations to Dan Koh on winning the Democratic primary. I am excited for voters to see the clear differences between our campaigns and our visions for the district. That contrast could not be simpler: Dan wants to go to Washington to oppose President Trump. I want to go to Washington to always do what is best for the Massachusetts Sixth Congressional District. My focus is on working across the aisle and making sure that the North Shore and Merrimack Valley are the best place to raise a family, start a business, and build a life. Immediately following the primary election, I challenged Dan to three debates so voters can hear directly from both of us about our different visions for the district. As of the time of this writing, he has yet to accept! The rest of the week was busy with media interviews, including conversations with Boston-area NPR stations WGBH and WBUR. I also attended a Combined Jewish Philanthropies event in Marblehead and the Rotary Club Comedy Show in Gloucester. Today, I’ll be in Nahant meeting with seniors, and the campaign will also have a booth at the final Gloucester Block Party of the season. Please stop by and say hello if you are in the area! This weekend, I’ll be at the Greek Festival in Lynn, as well as a cookout at the Hamilton-Wenham Rod & Gun Club. Have a great Labor Day weekend! Micah |
