Hi, it’s Darren Soto. I just won the official Democratic nomination to represent FL-09 in Congress. My campaign is centered on the 3 C’s: Lower costs. Protect our care. Stop corruption.

But accomplishing those goals depends on who controls the House.

Here are five reasons I’m asking you to contribute $5:

1. Lower grocery, fuel, and housing costs. Congress must challenge tariffs and other policies that increase prices for Central Florida families and farmers.

2. Protect Medicaid and the Affordable Care Act. Families should not lose coverage or face dramatically higher premiums because of a vote in Washington.

3. Defend Social Security and Medicare. Central Florida seniors earned these benefits, and we must protect them.

4. Continue investing in our growing region. Infrastructure, transportation, disaster preparedness, and high-paying technology jobs require effective federal partnerships.

5. Protect FL-09 and change the House majority. Our district has been dramatically redrawn, making the resources needed to communicate with new voters more important than ever.

This race is about who controls the committees that write health-care policy, oversee federal agencies and decide whether legislation to lower costs receives a vote. Will you contribute $5 for these five reasons? [[link removed]?]
