I am writing to you today because we have a major task ahead of us and I'm hoping you can help.

Here's the truth: We are living in a dangerous and unprecedented moment in history.

From the coronavirus pandemic to sweeping voter suppression efforts and massive heat waves and climate disasters, our nation is in crisis. And it's up to us to help voters make their voices heard in the November election.

The good news is that we are building a global grassroots movement strong enough to stop new fossil fuel projects and pursue a just recovery from the multiple crises we're facing, from economic and racial injustice, to the climate crisis.

But if we are going to do everything we can to turn out voters ahead of the November election, we need your help:

We are counting on a large number of contributions today so we can grow our organizing efforts around the country and reach as many voters as possible before November. That is why I am asking:

Can you make a contribution today so we can reach as many voters as possible in the lead up to the November election? We’re going to put that donation right to work organizing volunteers and supporters around the country.

Not only are we up against the entire fossil fuel industry, but we are facing huge voter suppression efforts in the lead up to November.

Black, Indigenous, and communities of color (BIPOC) continuously and disproportionately experience climate disasters and fossil fuel extraction — and these very same communities are the target of massive voter suppression efforts.

It is outrageous that in the United States, those most impacted by the climate crisis have had the least to do with the problem and are being directly targeted by voter suppression.

That is why we are organizing volunteers and supporters around the country to phone bank and reach out to voters in states directly impacted by climate chaos and voter suppression. This past Sunday we trained 165 volunteers who called over 50,000 North Carolina voters to make sure they’re registered to vote by mail. Because we must fight for every eligible voter’s right to vote.

But in order to reach as many voters as we possibly can, we are counting on a large number of supporters chipping in today.

Anything you can do to help means a lot.

Please chip in today so we can reach as many voters as possible ahead of the November election.
