CNN reports that Moderna, "the first US company to begin Phase 3 clinical trials of a coronavirus vaccine," is still "not even close" to meeting Dr. Fauci's goals for human trials.

Dr. Fauci had specified he'd like to see an overrepresentation of participants from communities of color, since they're the Americans that have been hardest-hit by the virus. But so far, Moderna has ignored the doctor's request, with minority representation at barely a third of what Fauci is calling for -- at the same time the president has knocked Fauci as being an unwanted heirloom that Trump "inherited" from the previous administration.

Leading scientists are now worried that Trump's push to approve a vaccine before Election Day may be incredibly dangerous -- potentially all the more so if human trials continue to deviate from Dr. Fauci's advice.

With Dr. Fauci just trying to do his job and save lives -- and Trump and the drug companies not caring who they hurt as long as they can keep their power -- we're proudly standing up for science and calling for all engaged Democrats to do the same.
