Hi Friend,
Here at NCLEJ, we think Labor Day is a big deal—not because it marks the unofficial end of summertime, but because it gives us the chance to “celebrate those who can’t celebrate,” as the Belgian singer Stromae declares in Sante , his infectious ode to the workers of the world, and one of the 10 musical selections from NCLEJ’s inaugural Labor Day Playlist!
We are grateful for all the hard (and often thankless) work you do day after day, shift after shift. And we are proud to stand alongside you in the fight to secure fair wages and safe working conditions, protect the right to organize, and build a more inclusive future for all.
In honor of Labor Day this Monday, I’m excited to share both our Labor Day Playlist and our newly published Blog Post penned by NCLEJ Senior Policy Counsel Lisa Zucker discussing the holiday’s history, NCLEJ’s worker advocacy, and the pivotal role that workers play in our society.
