Hi there, my name is Sophie and I'm the Mobilization Director here in CA-45.

What exactly does "mobilization" mean, you might be wondering? It depends.

My favorite part about campaigns is the team you get to build between organizers, volunteers, and people who just walk into a field office. This year is different because we can't safely gather in a field office.

So what is mobilization this year?

It's creating the feel and the accessibility of a field office, without actually having one. It's hosting online volunteer socials and encouraging supporters to text their friends. It's texting people in Farsi or Spanish to meet folks where they're at. It's creating a space where people feel excited, and they can be a part of something. It's creating that feeling with videos and graphics inspired by our volunteers, who are the most patient and driven people I have ever met.

Most of all, mobilization is about the people in our district that aren't able to volunteer. The folks who can't find child care or don't have a few free hours to make phone calls. The people who are hit the hardest by the pandemic and the following economic fallout. Mobilization is about making sure their voices and their votes are heard on November 3rd.

This is how we win and keep Katie Porter in Congress. Bringing people into our campaign one conversation at a time. And your contributions to emails like this one helps to make all of these relationships possible.

If you're able to pitch in today, you'll help power our campaign's mobilization programs as we enter the homestretch of this race--when we need to mobilize more and more voters every day! Can you chip in now?

Thanks for making this all possible,

Sophie
