| Hello friend, I was in New York on the tragic morning of September 11, 25 years ago. As a National Guardsman, I responded at Ground Zero and helped with rescue, recovery, and cleanup efforts. Like so many Americans, I felt deep grief, anger, and a desire to see justice done. As we approach the 25th anniversary, I’ve been thinking about what that day meant for America, both then and in the years since. That experience shaped me — and countless other veterans, service members, first responders, and their families in the years that followed. If you were at Ground Zero or affected by 9/11 — or if you know a veteran, first responder, service member, volunteer, or loved one whose story should be remembered — we want to hear it. |
