The recent operational changes at the Postal Service are troubling to say the least. I've talked to Marylanders across the 2nd District who said they weren't receiving their mail regularly or at all in some cases.

That's not OK.

The USPS delivers paychecks, prescriptions, tax returns, ballots, and more. It provides a vital service Americans depend on. We can't afford for postal workers to not be able to do their jobs to their full ability -- especially in the middle of a pandemic with a monumental election on the horizon.

I joined colleagues from both parties in the House to advance a measure that would undo the damage that has been done to the Postal Service. The plan would:

Reverse and prohibit any changes at the USPS that would affect service nationwide
Provide $25 billion in critical funding the USPS needs
Require that election mail is treated as first class
Prohibit the decommissioning and removal of mail-sorting machines and mailboxes

Now, it's the Senate's turn to take action.

We're running out of time to fix the issues at the Postal Service before Election Day to ensure every voter can make their voice heard on November 3rd.

Will you add your name and demand that McConnell's Senate take action to help the USPS?

Your friend,

Dutch
