Donald Trump’s nominee to head the Bureau of Land Management, former oil industry attorney William Pendley, was so offensive that he was withdrawn.
But Pendley is still in charge as acting BLM head, with no nominee to replace him. His tenure as acting head is way over the 210-day limit in federal law.
Pendley denied climate change and even the ozone hole. He said immigration would mean “losing the country we love,” and wants to sell off our public lands for fossil fuel development.
