What a Roller Coaster ride. SB276 was not eligible to come up for a vote on
the Assembly floor until tomorrow. However, the Speaker waived the rules
and it was brought up today. (When it is published you can see the hearing
here (at the end) [link removed]) It was voted
on and passed the Assembly with 47 Ayes, 17 Noes and 15 abstentions.
Senator Pan needed 41 votes, so we had a huge impact that he only got the
vote by 6 votes.

However, no amendments were taken. While reeling from the shock of SB276
being voted on today, the Governor tweeted the following:
This is HUGE and means that the current bill does NOT have the Governors
support.
Please tweet a reply to the Governor with a Thank you to this tweet:

What does this mean?
There are three options:
* Senator Pan sticks with his arrogance and sends the vote to the
Senate and if they pass it, it goes to the Governor's desk and gets vetoed.
* The Speaker of the house requests for the vote from today to be
expunged from the record and Senator Pan takes amendments, which are
published by Friday and it gets voted on again but the Assembly next week,
before going to the Senate for a vote of concurrence and then to the
Governor's office.
* SB276 continues to the Senate and Senator Pan takes another bill
that is in the Assembly and guts and amends it with the Governor's requested
language to act as a trailer bill, which then is voted on by the Assembly,
Senate and goes to the Governor.
