LCB Action: Alcohol-Related Rulemaking – Implementing 2SHB 1701 Leasing Liquor Premises, Final Rules
On Sept. 2, 2026, during its regularly scheduled meeting the Liquor and Cannabis Board (LCB) took the following alcohol-related action:
Leasing Liquor Premises: Final rules filed
The Board approved final rules to amend two existing rules and create one new rule in Title 314 WAC implementing Second Substitute House Bill (2SHB) 1701 (chapter 196, Laws of 2026 [ [link removed] ]) which allows liquor licensees to lease property. The new rule language takes effect Oct. 3, 2026.
