 This Month's Jobs Postings:

After graduating from the University of St. Thomas in 2011 with a degree in broadcast journalism, I thought I was headed for a career in television news. But two internships with the Minnesota House of Representatives opened my eyes to public service and sparked an interest in government and the legislative process. That interest eventually led to a full-time role at the House, and in 2016, I brought that experience to the Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs. Nearly a decade later, I’m still putting my government and communication skills to work—only now, I’m using them to advocate for Veterans and their families.
As MDVA’s Government Affairs Liaison, I work behind the scenes to help move legislation forward and secure the resources Minnesota’s Veterans need. At the heart of that work is a simple goal: making sure Veterans have access to the high-quality care, benefits and services they’ve earned.
If you’re thinking about joining MDVA, you’ll find plenty of opportunities to put your skills to work for a cause that truly matters—caring for our Veterans.
