I’m barking in your inbox today because I’ve been one busy pup! My mom brought me along to a very special place: Chaco Canyon!

I got to explore, take in all the new smells, and spend some time outside with my mom. But I know Chaco isn’t just a great place for a walk. It’s a sacred place that means so much to my mom, Tribal communities, and generations of New Mexicans.

Chaco holds a special place in my mom’s heart. She’s spent years fighting to protect it and the other sacred lands that make New Mexico so special. And as Governor, she’ll keep fighting to make sure these places are here for generations to come. But she can’t do it alone. Will you paw-lease chip in $5 or $10 today to give my mom the resources she needs to win this election and keep protecting New Mexico?

I may be just a pup, but even I know there’s something special about this place. I watched my mom take it all in, and I could tell Chaco means more to her than just a beautiful place to visit.

It reminded her of all the time she spent outside with her dad. She grew up running through the desert with her cousins and fishing with him. Those memories taught her that we have a responsibility to take care of the places we call home.

And that’s why she’s so worried about what’s happening right now.

Donald Trump is moving to slash protections for the lands surrounding Chaco and reopen them to mining and oil and gas drilling. That means putting a place that has been sacred to Indigenous peoples since time immemorial at risk.

My mom says Chaco is not for sale.

That's why I'm hounding you today, friend: Will you throw us a bone and chip in whatever you can spare before midnight to help my mom win this November and keep protecting the New Mexico we call home?
