More from the whistleblower report: The USPS official, describing their work on the portal, raised “grave concerns” that the portal’s verification process could reject tens of thousands of ballots in a bulk-mailing batch if “even one bar code on one single ballot” failed to properly scan, and that the rushed, “slapdash” development of the portal would significantly increase the chance of errors and other failures in the verification process.
“Potentially millions of American voters may not receive their mail-in ballot this election cycle in a timely manner, or at all,” the official said in the report.
Senator Richard Blumenthal of Connecticut, who helped bring this report to light, said “the whistleblower’s allegations make clear that USPS lacks the technical or operational capability needed to effectively implement the [Executive Order's] provisions in a way that safeguards every citizen’s right to vote in the upcoming midterm elections. Despite this, the Trump Administration appears intent on USPS moving forward with its flawed plans, no matter the chaos they may create.”
What can we do? If you vote by mail, get your ballot as soon as possible. If it doesn't come to you after your state starts sending them out, follow up, don't wait. Bring your completed ballot to a secure, safe local drop box, or take it directly to your local post office and ask for it to be postmarked there at the counter in front of you. Spread the word to your friends, your family, your neighbors, your colleagues, anyone who might use a mail-in ballot.
Opponents want to implement these rules last minute so no court can stop them. They're trying to engineer chaos in our elections and make you distrustful of the results. We can't let them win -- which is why we're asking you to help us out with $35 or whatever you can give today so we can reach every eligible voter and make their vote count >>
