Hey John, I was just on Meet the Press….

Kristen Welker asked me about 2028. About whether I'm going to run for president again.

But here's the truth I told her on national television this weekend, and the truth I want to tell you directly right now:

This is not the season right now.

In the last decade, there has not been another Republican who has campaigned for more Senate candidates, more House candidates, more gubernatorial candidates than I have. I have been on the road. I have been in the arena. I have shown up in states where it was hard and uncomfortable and politically complicated, because that's what this fight demands.

I am doing it again right now.

I need you to understand what we're actually fighting because this isn't just about seats and majorities and who controls which chamber. This is about something far bigger.

The Democrat Party I came up watching is gone.

What replaced it is something my father would have recognized immediately, because he lived it. He was tortured in a Cuban prison. He watched his country get strangled by a communist regime that promised the people everything, free healthcare, free education, power to the people, and delivered misery, silence, and chains.

That ideology, socialism, Marxism, the DSA agenda, is winning Democratic primaries across this country right now.

They elected a Democratic Socialist as mayor of New York City. Their endorsed candidates swept primaries in Michigan and Florida. And now that same machine is flooding money into Senate races that were never supposed to be competitive.

Texas. Iowa. Alaska. Michigan. Georgia.

James Talarico alone has $21.5 million in the bank to try to flip the Texas Senate seat. Democrats are outraising Republicans in nearly every battleground state. The Cook Political Report recently called both Texas and Iowa toss-ups. The map is shifting, and money is the reason.

Chuck Schumer only needs a few of these seats to take back the majority. And the moment he does and the tax cuts get reversed, the border gets opened, conservative judges get blocked, and everything we have fought for gets dismantled piece by piece by people who openly admire the ideology that destroyed my father's country.

I will not let that happen.

I told Kristen Welker this weekend that this is the season of the midterms. I meant it. I am going to spend every day between now and November 3rd on the road, on the trail, fighting for every conservative candidate who needs someone to show up for them.

But I need to know you're fighting with me.

Not in October when it's almost too late. Right now, while there's still time to close the fundraising gap, get ads on the air, and build the ground game that shows up on Election Day.

Will you chip in today? Even $5 sends a message that conservatives are awake, organized, and ready. [LINK] [[link removed]]

There will be a season for other conversations. President Trump said it himself — he thinks I'm talented, and he thinks I might just run again someday.

Someday.

Today, I'm fighting for the Senate majority, for the Texas race, and for the country my father chose when he had nothing left to lose.

I hope you're fighting with me.

For liberty,

Ted Cruz
U.S. Senator - Texas
