Organizers report, "People were clearly searching for an understanding of what to do, many not just out of fury over the attacks on Black people but the entire fascist agenda. In a clear contrast to what came from the stage which overwhelmingly promoted voting and spoke in triumphalist terms that minimized the fascist danger, there was those who enthusiastically embraced our strategy and recognized the illusion that voting will save us....The thread through this mix was the hatred for attacks coming down especially on Black people and civil rights, and a desire to see something more than what has been happening. This got expressed in the interest an enthusiasm people had when they came upon Refuse Fascism. We sold all the organizing packets we brought..."
