Our Revolution is holding “Ambulance Tour” events around the country in Congressional districts where representatives continue to side with the interests of the healthcare industry over the health of families they swore an oath to represent.
As we saw when Joe Biden called Medicare for All “irrational,” there is no shortage of politicians willing to embarrass themselves in transparently desperate attempts to raise money from the health care and pharmaceutical industries—and all in an effort to keep up with Bernie’s grassroots fundraising. That’s why we can’t afford to let up even a little bit.

The health insurance and pharmaceutical industries are dead set on preventing every American from getting the healthcare we need and deserve. They spend the profits they make — from providing us with inadequate care — on donations to politicians of both parties.
That's why Our Revolution is fighting back with our Medicare for All "Ambulance Tour." We’re traveling across the country to pressure politicians — Republicans and Democrats — who side with greedy corporations over the well-being of families.
Below is the personal story of Anna-Marta Visky, an Our Revolution leader who recently hosted a powerful Medicare for All Ambulance Tour event in New Jersey:
Becoming a mother opened my eyes to the cruelty of our healthcare non-system. Shortly after my child was born, I was diagnosed with postpartum depression. But I wasn’t able to focus on getting better. The co-pays for my therapy put serious financial stress on my young family.
Then, because of my family history of breast cancer, my doctor told me to get an MRI. My insurance would only cover part of the cost — and that was AFTER I paid a $3,000 deductible. And yet, this same for-profit insurance company can afford to pay its CEO tens of millions of dollars each year.
The outrageous truth is that my healthcare struggle is far from unique. Everyone knows someone with a healthcare horror story. The damage being done on a daily basis is not just sad. It’s completely avoidable.
That's why, as chair of Our Revolution in Monmouth County, New Jersey, I’m organizing to hold representatives like Andy Kim and Frank Pallone - chair of the powerful House Committee on Energy and Commerce - accountable to passing Medicare for All.
Telling personal stories and doing direct action events are crucial to holding politicians accountable — and we are seeing the results. After Our Revolution activists took action in deep-red Texas and Kentucky, members of Congress in those states became supporters of Medicare for All.
That's why I'm reaching out to ask you to help Our Revolution keep shaming Republicans AND Democrats to support healthcare as a right. Can you chip in $27, or whatever your family can afford, to help us push Medicare for All into existence?
After Our Revolution activists took action, Representative John Yarmuth, a Democrat from Kentucky, signed on to Medicare for All. He said: "It's not a matter of if we are going to get single payer, it's a matter of when."
I couldn't agree more. But we also must recognize that the health insurance and drug industry lobbies will do everything they can to stop us. In order to win, we must stand together and demand Medicare for All.
