Friend,
Since the beginning of the pandemic, we have highlighted the stories of undocumented people who have been heavily impacted by the Trump administration’s efforts to keep undocumented people – and those who’ve built families with them – excluded from ANY federal COVID-19 relief package.
Today, we’re sharing the story of Margarita - a single mother of six and a cook. Before the pandemic, Margarita had two full time jobs. After COVID-19, she was fired from one job and had her hours reduced in the other. Despite her struggles, Margarita believes that, as immigrants, we have to fight for what we need and that nothing can stop us. Watch her story and learn more about Margarita.

This moment in history calls on us to build empathy with those who are often left in the shadows and take collective action to bring about a better future. Margarita, who has been separated from her family for over 23 years, illuminates the parallels between living undocumented and the experience of living in quarantine, unable to hold your family and living in constant worry about the future. But with love and community, we can make it through.
Friend, share this video with everyone that you know, so everyone can hear what it means to be Undocumented Under COVID-19. So many immigrants like Margarita have been excluded from relief and are enduring this difficult time without aid - share their stories so Congress hears their voices and delivers the justice we need to survive!

P.S. Congress is back in session. Take action and demand that they include ALL immigrants in COVID-19 relief packages.
