I had somebody ask me the other day...
“If you already have a red dot, why bother putting iron sights on your rifle?”
Fair question.
My answer is pretty simple.
Because I want both.
I like my red dot. I'm not taking it off.
But I also like having a front and rear sight sitting right there on the rail in case that red dot ever quits on me.
Battery dies...
Optic gets damaged...
Whatever.
I can flip my irons up and I've still got a mechanical sight picture that doesn't need a battery or a piece of electronics to work.
