In 1890, John Muir worked with Congress and public activists to establish Yosemite National Park. Two years later, Muir founded the Sierra Club to protect more irreplaceable outdoor landscape and natural resources, like Yosemite.

Yosemite's land was protected by President Abraham Lincoln in 1864, establishing that "Yosemite Valley's premises shall be held for public use, resort, and recreation."

If Trump can trade away part of Yosemite to benefit a developer, every national park or other protected landscape becomes vulnerable to the next well-connected private interest.

Yosemite, Big Bend, Grand Staircase-Escalante, Bears Ears have all been threatened in recent months. Enough is enough!

Irreplaceable landscapes like these represent the shared nature, culture, and history that connects all of us, playing a critical role in educating future generations on the legacy of our nation, natural places, and people.

We will not allow our public lands and waters to become playgrounds for billionaires and corporate polluters. We know you will help us use every tool at our disposal to protect Yosemite.
