This week is a big week. Schools across the nation opened, and then because=
of ridiculous CDC quarantining guidelines, are closing again. There is a l=
ot of information for you this week, so just do the best you can! And, for =
our civics lesson this week, simply talk to your kids or grandkids about Se=
ptember 11, 2001. This year marks the 19th anniversary of that terrible day=
, and we need to be sure that we live up to the pledge to =E2=80=9Cnever fo=
rget.=E2=80=9D

u can still take these actions. If you want America to open and our country=
to stabilize, we need schools to open and stay open. In addition to helpin=
g ensure the education of our future generation, it also helps our communit=
ies begin to have continuity and predictability again both at home, at plac=
es of employment, and which in turn brings continuity and predictability mo=
re broadly in our local communities and our entire nation.

Keep an eye out every week for a new activity or book or lesson to bring re=
al civics back to our children.
This week, we will remember and discuss the terrorist attacks of September =
11, 2001.
This Friday is September 11th, the 19th anniversary of that horrible day. W=
hile some people would like to whitewash what happened or allow our nation =
to forget, most of us pledged to =E2=80=9Cnever forget.=E2=80=9D So, let=E2=
=80=99s make sure we never forget! We will leave it up to you, depending on=
the age of your kids or grandkids, how much detail and exactly what you wi=
ll tell them or talk about. We just want to make sure America remembers the=
victims and the heroes of that time.

This week is a big week. Schools across the nation opened, and then because of ridiculous CDC quarantining guidelines, are closing again. There is a lot of information for you this week, so just do the best you can! And, for our civics lesson this week, simply talk to your kids or grandkids about September 11, 2001. This year marks the 19th anniversary of that terrible day, and we need to be sure that we live up to the pledge to “never forget.”

We just want to make sure America remembers the victims and the heroes of that time.
