Everywhere I go in this district, people tell me a version of the same thing.

At the grocery store, after church, at the gas pump, they lower their voice a
little and say some form of the same sentence:“Please don't let them take it
all back.”

They are not talking about politics as a game. They are talking about the
very real fear of watching everything we fixed, the border, the economy, our
standing in the world, torn apart the moment the Socialist Democrats retake the
House and turn Washington into a nonstop impeachment circus.

I hear that concern, and I carry it with me every day I am in Washington. It
is exactly why I refuse to slow down, even in the dead quiet of July.
