The first major play: I won our primary and became the official Democratic nominee for the U.S. Senate in Iowa.
The next key move: Cook Political Report moved Iowa in our direction, citing my strength as a candidate and the energy we've built on the ground.
The big twist: Fox News debuted their first 2026 Senate forecast, and they rate Iowa a Toss-Up .
Read that again. Fox News is telling their own viewers that this race is a dead heat. Because it is.
Just 4 seats in the entire country made their Toss-Up column, and Iowa, a state Trump won by 13 points, is one of them.
My Republican opponent, Ashley Hinson, didn't want to wake up to that headline.
Every outlet, every analyst, every prediction market is circling the same conclusion:
Iowa isn't a lock for the GOP anymore. It's a genuine fight, and I intend to win it.
That should scare the SuperPACs stockpiling millions to prop up "Joni Ernst 2.0." It should also tell you exactly where MAGA money's headed next.
A race this tight will hinge on getting our prairie populist message to voters on TV, at their front doors, and in their mailboxes.
