I keep finding myself saying things that sound unusual for Houstonian. “August was awesome” is one of them! But August was a great at our #TeamLizzie HQ. I headed back to Washington with renewed energy from our team and all we have accomplished together. From our Democracy Summer fellows to our #TX07 clubs in action, we have made phone calls, written postcards, knocked on doors, and mapped out strategies to turn out the vote and the volunteers that will make a huge difference in 2026.

The closer we get to Election Day, the more each day matters. The conversations we have with voters, the doors we knock on, the volunteers who show up, and the resources we raise all help us build the kind of campaign that can meet this moment.
And this is a moment that matters. We’ve watched too much dysfunction in Washington and too many efforts divide our communities and undermine the progress we’ve worked so hard to make. I know this election will have real consequences for our families, our communities, and our democracy.
That’s why our campaign is focused on doing the work: listening to voters, bringing people together, and making sure we inform and turn out voters from now until November.
