I was just in Ohio for the Ohio Democrats’ State Dinner, and what I saw reminded me why preparation matters so much.

From the conversations I had with Democratic leaders, organizers, volunteers, and supporters, it was clear that people across Ohio are already putting in the work. They are building relationships, strengthening communities, and preparing for the months ahead.

As a Navy pilot, a NASA astronaut, and now a United States Senator, I have learned that you never accomplish a mission alone. It takes a team, all working together toward a common goal that makes success possible.

That was the spirit I saw at the State Dinner.

Ohio is mission critical this November. And the people I met made one thing clear: They are ready to elect Democrats up and down the ballot.

These races will help determine whether Democrats can flip the House, take back the Senate, and elect leaders who will fight for working families instead of big corporations and the rich.
